Common use of Paid Sick Leave Benefits Clause in Contracts

Paid Sick Leave Benefits. Employees who have completed six (6) consecutive months of employment shall accrue a paid sick leave benefit at the rate of four (4) hours for each one hundred and sixty (160) hours paid to a maximum of two hundred and eight (208) hours. Accumulated sick leave pay shall apply from the first day of illness or accident and shall be paid for at the rate of one hundred (100%) per cent of the employees regular hourly rate of pay for each hour of such absence. Employees are not required to bring doctors’ note unless requested by management to do so. The Employer will only reimburse the costs of doctors’ notes that management has requested the employee to provide to them.
