Part-Time Career Employment/Job Sharing. SECTION A: Consistent with the Federal Career Part-Time Career Employment Act of 1978, a part-time permanent employee has a career or career-conditional appointment (or a permanent appointment in the excepted service), works between 16 and 32 hours each week on a prearranged schedule, and is eligible for benefits.

Such re-employment lists shall have priority for a period of two (2) years over any other eligibility list for such affected position, providing, however, that employees not reinstated within six (6) months after being laid off must pass a pre-employment physical examination prior to reinstatement.
