Permanent Appointment. Two (2) months prior to the end of the probationary period (in either April or November depending on the end date of the probationary period), the bargaining unit Members in the relevant Department shall consider whether the Lab Instructor should be given a permanent appointment and shall make a recommendation to the relevant Xxxx using the rating as noted in Article 25.4.3 and based on the following:
(a) job performance, with an emphasis on demonstration of judgment, initiative and the ability to communicate and interact effectively as supported by course evaluations;
(b) competent fulfillment of the duties and responsibilities of the Lab Instructor’s position (see 25.1.2 and 25.1.2.1 above);
(c) service to the University and the community; The Department shall recommend to the Xxxx, that the Lab Instructor should:
(i) be given a permanent appointment at the conclusion of the probationary period. A permanent appointment will be made if the Lab Instructor has had an evaluation of satisfactory in both assessments or
(ii) have his/her appointment conclude at the end of the probationary period. The appointment will conclude if there has been an assessment of unsatisfactory or if there has been an evaluation of fair in both the first and second assessments or
(iii) be given a one-and-only-one further one year probationary appointment commencing immediately following the end of his/her probationary period. A one- year extension will be made if the Lab Instructor has had an evaluation of satisfactory and fair during the probationary period or
(iv) be given a one-and-only-one further one year probationary appointment commencing immediately following the end of his/her probationary period. A one- year extension will be made to allow for completion of an educational requirement included as a condition of appointment. If the Xxxx agrees with the Department’s recommendation, he/she shall inform the Lab Instructor in writing, with copies to the Vice-President, Academic and Xxxxxxx, the Association President, and the Lab Instructor’s official file. If the Xxxx disagrees with the Department’s recommendation, he/she shall meet with the Department to discuss the matter. If following that meeting, the Xxxx and Department still disagree, the Xxxx shall decide the matter and inform the Department of his/her decision together with a written rationale for it. Permanent Appointment. 5.1 On first permanent appointment a principal shall be eligible for the provisions set out in clause 4.2 of this Appendix where they meet the following criteria: - The principal is resident in New Zealand at the time of appointment and; - The appointment is within 12 months following graduation from a course of teacher training recognised by the Secretary and; - The appointment involves a shift to another housing district.
5.2 (a) Reimbursement of the cost of surface fares for the principal and dependants or the appropriate motor vehicle rate;
Permanent Appointment. Permanent appointments may be full or part-time. Permanent appointments shall be made by the Chief from employees successfully completing the work performance evaluation period (probationary period).
Permanent Appointment a) The holding by a Librarian of a continuing appointment provides the right of the Librarian not to be dismissed except for just cause.
b) Permanent appointment may be granted at the time of initial appointment at the Librarian III or IV level, in the case of a Librarian who has outstanding qualifications and has held such an appointment at another library.
Permanent Appointment. An appointment to a position in the bargaining unit shall become permanent upon the bargaining unit member’s satisfactory completion of the probationary period.
Permanent Appointment. At the conclusion of the one year initial appointment, the Chief shall notify the Board, who shall then make permanent the appointment to the applicable rank. Should the required curriculum of the OSFM change, such changes will not become effective with respect to this agreement until after the expiration or exhaustion of the register(s) in effect at the time of the change.
Permanent Appointment. With approval of the City Manager (Administrative Officer), a department head may appoint a unit employee to a vacant position for a period not to exceed three (3) months, except as provided above. In conjunction with the appointment, the department head shall initiate a recruitment process to permanently fill the position.

Permanent Appointment. A permanent employee is one who is hired to work indefinitely on a full-time basis and has successfully completed his/her probationary period.
