Common use of Participating Teachers Clause in Contracts

Participating Teachers. 1. The Mandatory Participating Teacher shall: a. Enter the program on July 1 of the following school year upon receiving an overall rating of “unsatisfactory” on their final evaluation. b. Be provided a list of Consulting Teachers so that the Mandatory Participating Teacher can make a request. The Joint Panel will assign the Consulting Teacher for the Participating Teacher. c. Receive sustained assistance from the beginning of the school year until the final report. Sustained assistance is defined as six months of services with a minimum of five scheduled opportunities to meet with the assigned Consulting Teacher. d. Receive immediate feedback after each observation. 2. The Voluntary Participating Teacher shall: a. Become eligible for the program by volunteering and applying to the Joint Panel. b. If accepted into the program by the Joint Panel, be assigned a Peer Coach. c. Meet with the Peer Coach to discuss and develop a professional growth plan. d. Receive services from a Peer Coaching Consulting Teacher.
