Volunteer Participating Teacher. A Volunteer Participating Teacher is an experienced teacher with permanent status who has requested the assignment of a Consulting Teacher. The joint Committee shall consider the requests and their impact on the Peer Assistance Program budget.
Volunteer Participating Teacher a. A Volunteer Participating Teacher is a teacher with permanent status who volunteers to participate in the PAR Program. A Volunteer Participating Teacher may terminate his/her participation in the PAR Program at any time.
b. All communication and documentation between the Consulting Teacher and a Volunteer Participating Teacher shall be confidential and, without the written consent of the Volunteer Participating Teacher, shall not be shared with others including the site principal, the evaluator, or the PAR Panel.
c. Any such documentation produced while the teacher is a Volunteer Participating Teacher shall be the property of the Volunteer Participating Teacher and shall not be placed in the personnel file.

5.2.2 Oral communications between the Consulting Teacher and a Volunteer Participating Teacher shall be confidential and shall not be shared with the Participating Teacher’s evaluator or the PAR Panel, without the written consent of the Volunteer.

Volunteer Participating Teacher. A. The purpose of participation in the Peer Assistant Program for the Volunteer participating Teacher is for peer assistance only and the Consulting Teacher shall not participate in a performance review of any Volunteer Participating Teacher.
B. The Volunteer Participating Teacher may put in a request to the Joint Committee to participate in the Peer Assistance Program. The Consulting Teacher and the Volunteer Teacher shall meet to establish goals and develop a plan to meet his or her needs.
C. The Consulting Teacher shall not prepare any written report regarding a Volunteer Participating Teacher other than a log of dates and times of meetings.
D. A Volunteer Participating Teacher may terminate his or her participation in the Peer Assistance Program at any time. Terminating participation will not be reflected in any evaluation or any report.
E. All communications between the Consulting Teacher and a Volunteer Participating Teacher shall be confidential, and without the written consent of the Volunteer, shall not be shared with others, including the site principal, the evaluator or the Joint Committee.

Volunteer Participating Teacher. 1. A teacher may volunteer to participate in the PAR program with priority being given to permanent teachers. The purpose of participation in the PAR program for the Volunteer Participating Teacher (VPT) is for peer assistance only and the CT shall not participate in a performance review of the VPT. The VPT may terminate his or her participation in the PAR program at any time.
2. All communication between the CT and the VPT shall be confidential and shall not be shared with others without the written consent of the VPT.
Volunteer Participating Teacher. 1. Permanent and New Teachers who are fully credentialed may volunteer for the PAR Program. A teacher may volunteer to participate in the PAR Program because they would like to receive peer assistance in their area of subject matter, grade level knowledge and/or teaching strategies.
2. Participation in the PAR Program by the Volunteer Participating Teacher (VPT) may be terminated at any time by the VPT without any repercussions or written documentation impacting his or her performance review.
I. Program Parameters
1. Consulting Teacher compensation will be established at two (2) levels. All selected Consulting Teachers will receive an annual stipend (retainer), In addition, Consulting Teachers who are assigned a Participating Teacher, will receive an additional stipend each trimester.
2. It is understood that his program shall terminate if for any reason it is not fully funded through AB 1X (1999, Villariagosa) or successor legislation.
3. PAR funding may be used for mentor teachers or professional development that is determined by the PAR Panel.
4. The PAR program shall be funded by state funds designated for this purpose and shall not be funded by general District funds.
5. The functions performed by the PAR Panel and Consulting Teachers shall not constitute either management or supervisory functions.
6. Not more than five (5) percent of the funds received for the PAR program may be expended for administrative purposes.
7. The District shall hold harmless the members of the PAR Panel and the Consulting Teachers for any liability arising out of their participation in the PAR program, and shall have the same protection and access to appropriate defense as other public school employees pursuant to Division 3.6 (commencing with Section 810) of Title I of the government Code.
8. All proceedings and materials related to the administration of this article shall be strictly confidential. Therefore, Panel members and Consulting Teachers may disclose such information only as reasonably necessary to perform their respective functions.
