Participating Teachers. A Referred Participating Teacher is a teacher with permanent status who is in need of improvement in subject matter knowledge, teaching strategies and/or maintenance of a suitable learning environment (California Education Code Section 44662.b and as per the California Standards for the Teaching Profession under Effective Environment for Student Learning), as documented in an unsatisfactory Final Evaluation. Initial notification of mandatory participation in the PAR Program will have been stated on the Final Evaluation Form.
