Participation in Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee. A Nurse who is a member of the Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee is entitled to time off from work without loss of regular pay and benefits, as is necessary to attend meetings of the Committee, to take any training programs prescribed by the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations, or as determined necessary by the Committee, and to carry out the Nurse’s functions as a member of the Committee. Time spent by the Nurse in these activities shall be considered to be time worked at straight time rates. The Employer will provide the list of members of the Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee to BUGLM on an annual basis and when committee members change.
