Common use of Pay During Temporary Transfers Clause in Contracts

Pay During Temporary Transfers. When an employee, with the prior approval of her supervisor, temporarily substitutes in or performs the principal duties of a higher paying hourly position, the employee shall receive the rate for the higher paying job immediately upon assuming that new position. It is understood that temporary transfers under this Article shall be for a minimum of one (1) day. When an employee is assigned to a position paying a lower rate, such employee shall incur no reduction in pay.
