Common use of Payment for Paid Maternity Leave Clause in Contracts

Payment for Paid Maternity Leave. (a) (i) Subject to subclause 6.14.5(c), a Full Time Employee proceeding on paid maternity leave is to be paid according to their ordinary working hours at the time of commencement of maternity leave. Shift and weekend penalty payments are not payable during paid maternity leave. (ii) Subject to subclause 6.14.5(c), payment for a Part Time Employee is to be determined according to an average of the hours worked by the employee over the preceding twelve (12) months; or their ordinary working hours at the time of commencement of maternity leave, exclusive of shift and weekend penalties, whichever is greater.
