Common use of Payment in Lieu of Annual Leave for Casual Employees Clause in Contracts

Payment in Lieu of Annual Leave for Casual Employees. Casual employees, at the discretion of the employer, shall EITHER: • be paid 8% gross taxable earnings in lieu of annual leave, to be added to each fortnightly or weekly wage payment (no annual taxable earnings calculation is therefore necessary); OR • Annual leave will accrue pro rata according to hours worked in accordance with clause 10.
