Night Allowance. The Service shall pay Night Allowance to employees on duty outside their duty stations according to approved government rates when accommodation and meals are not provided. Where accommodation and meals are provided, employees shall be paid out of pocket allowance equivalent to a third of the value of the night allowance rate.

The Company shall provide the "Prairie Teamsters Health and Welfare Plan" to all regular full-time employees and eligible dependents coming under the jurisdiction of this Agreement.
1. Any regular full-time employee who is hired by the Company, after the effective date of the Health and Welfare Plan, shall join the Plan on the first day of the month immediately following ninety (90) calendar days from the date of employment wi th the Company.
2. It will be the responsibility of the Company to ensure that all employees are enrolled in the Health and Welfare Plan, and to make premium remittances on their behalf. Failure of the Company to enroll employees, forward completed forms and/or remit premiums on the due date, being the tenth (10th) day of each month, to the Trustees, will cause the Company to be liable for any claim arising thereof.
3. It shall be the Union's responsibility to supply all necessary enrollment forms to the Company.
4. The Company shall remit the premiums to the Administrator, as designated by the Trustees of the Health and Welfare Plan. It shall be the Trustees responsibility after receipt of the premiums to distribute same to applicable insurance underwriters.
5. Medical, Surgical and Obstetrical coverage in accordance with the standard Plan of Service provided by medicare in the province in which the employee is domiciled.
6. The cost of the Health Insurance Plan will be as per premium rates in the indi vidual provinces. Effective the first day of the month following certification, the company will pay fifty percent (50%) of the cost of the Plan, and the employee will pay fifty percent (50%). Effective April 1, 2002, the Company will pay sixty percent (60%) of the Cost of the Plan, and the employee will pay forty percent (40%). Effective April 1, 2003, the Company will pay sixty-five percent (65%) of the cost of the Plan, and the employee will pay thirty-five percent (35%) Effective April 1, 2004 the Company will pay seventy percent (70%) of the cost of the Plan, and the employee will pay thirty percent (30%)

Night Allowance. 7.7.1 Night rate – An employee whose normal hours of duty fall between 2000 hours and 0600 hours will be paid at time one quarter of the normal hourly rate of pay (T0.25) in addition to normal salary for all hours which so fall provided that:
(a) The rate is to be calculated on the ordinary time hourly rate.
(b) The minimum payment under this provision shall not be less than payment for two hours at T 0.25 of the normal hourly rate even if the part of a shift which falls between the hours of 2000 hours and 0600 hours is less than two hours worked.
7.7.2 Night rate is not to be paid when overtime is being worked or a penal rate/duty allowance is payable.
7.7.3 In addition to the rates set out in 7.7.1 above, those employers in 7.7.1 above paying time one quarter (T0.25) for night rate shall pay to an Employee whose hours of work fall between 2200 hours and 0600 hours, Monday to Friday, an allowance of $2.52 for each hour so worked as from 01.07.18. 7.7.4 Night Allowance - (in lieu of clauses 7.7.1 to 7.7.3)
(a) An employee whose normal rostered hours of duty fall between 8pm. and 10pm. will be paid $21.75 per shift as from 01.07.18. ($22.40 per shift as from 01.07.19.)
(b) Night allowance is not to be paid when overtime is being worked.
(c) An employee whose normal rostered hours of duty of a whole shift of 8 hours inclusive of the meal break with which finishes at 2400 shall be paid $45.68 per shift as from 01.07.18. ($47.05 as from 01.07.19.)
