Common use of Payment of Traveling Expenses Clause in Contracts

Payment of Traveling Expenses. In any case where a regular employee is required by law to appear as a witness in any proceeding connected with or arising out of the performance of such employee's official duties as a County employee, such employee shall be reimbursed for all reasonable and necessary expenses incurred by such employee in making such appearance, including transportation, lodging and meals provided, however, that in order to be entitled to such reimbursement, such employee must remit to the County any amount which such employee is entitled by law to receive as a witness including, but not limited to, any per diem or mileage allowance.
