PAYROLL DEDUCTION OF UNION DUES. 11.01 The District agrees to deduct on each pay period the dues and assessments, in an amount certified by the Treasurer of the Union, from the pay of those employees who individually request in writing that such deductions be made. The District shall remit the total amount of deductions for each employee, each month to the Treasurer of the Union. 11.02 An employee may, at any time, on forms provided by the Union, revoke their union dues and deduction and shall submit such revocation form to the District with a copy of such revocation form to the Union. The District shall stop Union dues deductions only on the first pay period in each calendar month. 11.03 Upon receipt of a lawfully executed written authorization form from an employee, the Fire District agrees to deduct a FIREPAC deduction of such employee from their paycheck and remit such deductions to the duly elected Treasurer of the Union. An employee may, at any time, on forms provided by the Union, revoke FIREPAC deduction and shall submit such revocation form to the District with a copy of such revocation form to the Union. The Fire District shall stop FIREPAC deductions only on the first pay period of each calendar month. 11.04 The Union agrees to indemnify, defend and hold the District harmless against any and all claims, suits, orders or judgments brought or issued against the District as a result of any action taken or not taken by the District under the provisions of this article. 11.05 There shall be no fee charged by the District for processing these deductions.

PAYROLL DEDUCTION OF UNION DUES. 11.01 The A. Provision shall be made by the District agrees to deduct on each pay period the for payroll deductions of employee organization dues and assessments, in an amount certified assessments of all members upon written authorization by the Treasurer employee Union member on an official form. Employees shall authorize dues deduction in accordance with Chapter 41.56.110 RCW when they become Union members. An employee may cancel their payroll deduction of dues and assessments by written notice to the Union and to the District, with the District stopping dues deductions following written confirmation from the Union that the employee’s dues/fees authorization has been terminated in compliance with the terms of the Union, from written authorization executed by the pay of those employees who individually request in writing that such deductions be madeemployee. The District shall remit will make every effort to end the total amount of deductions for each employee, each month to the Treasurer of the Union.
11.02 An employee may, at any time, on forms provided by the Union, revoke their union automatic dues and deduction and shall submit such revocation form to the District with a copy of such revocation form to the Union. The District shall stop Union dues deductions only effective on the first pay period in each calendar monthbut no later than the second pay period after receipt of the written cancellation notice from the employee and confirmation from the Union that the cancellation notice is compliant with the terms of the written authorization.
11.03 Upon receipt B. The Union will be responsible for setting the amount of a lawfully executed written authorization form from an employeedues deduction and will inform the Payroll Office of any changes in dues at least thirty (30) days before the change is to be made.
C. By September 1 of each year, the Fire District agrees to deduct Union will forward a FIREPAC deduction of such employee from their paycheck and remit such deductions letter to the duly elected Treasurer Payroll Office which will contain the names of officers and instructions for forwarding the monthly remittance. The Payroll Office will forward the monthly remittance to the Union on or as close to the tenth (10th) calendar day of the Union. An employee may, at any time, on forms provided by the Union, revoke FIREPAC deduction and shall submit such revocation form to the District with a copy of such revocation form to the Union. The Fire District shall stop FIREPAC deductions only on the first pay period of each calendar monthmonth as possible.
11.04 D. The Union District will deduct both inactive dues and regular dues on June 1 and July 1 payrolls to cover the summer months.
E. The union here by agrees to indemnify, defend that it will indemnify and hold the District harmless against any and all claims, suits, orders or judgments suit brought or issued against the District on account of any check off of dues for the Union. The District shall promptly notify the Union of any such suit brought against it. The Union will not indemnify or hold the District harmless from any suit brought solely as a result of any action taken or not taken by an error on the District’s part. The Union agrees to refund to the District under any amounts paid to it in error on account of the provisions check off provision upon presentation of this articleproper evidence thereof.
11.05 There shall be no fee charged by the District for processing these deductions.
