Percent Time Nurses. Five hundred twenty (520) working hours. For purposes of this Article, working hours shall include hours actually worked, excluding overtime, except that working hours shall include overtime hours if the nurse is required to liquidate the overtime in compensatory time off. Working hours shall also include paid holidays and paid leave taken in increments of less than the nurse's normal work day. The probationary period shall exclude any time served in emergency, provisional, temporary or unclassified appointments. During the probationary period the Appointing Authority shall conduct a minimum of one (1) performance review of the nurse's work performance at the approximate midpoint of the probationary period. This evaluation shall include a plan of action based on performance indicators contained in the position description and shall include coaching to achieve these performance indicators. Nothing in this section shall be construed as preventing an Appointing Authority from non-certifying a nurse at any time. Nurses promoted prior to the completion of their probationary period to a higher position in the nurse occupational field shall complete their probationary period in the lower position by service in the higher position.

  • Overtime for Part-Time Employees (a) A part-time employee working less than the normal hours per day of a full-time employee, and who is required to work longer than their regular workday, shall be paid at the rate of straight-time for the hours so worked, up to and including the normal hours in the workday of a full-time employee.
