The Personal Purchases clause defines the rules regarding the acquisition of goods or services for an individual's private use, rather than for business or organizational purposes. Typically, this clause clarifies whether employees or representatives are permitted to make personal purchases through company accounts or resources, and may outline any restrictions, approval requirements, or reimbursement obligations. Its core function is to prevent misuse of company assets and ensure that organizational resources are used appropriately, thereby reducing the risk of unauthorized or improper expenditures.
Personal Purchases. Drill sets and indicators may be purchased on a 50/50 basis with the Company, provided the items are required and used at work. An employee who leaves the Company within three (3) years, will reimburse the Company for its equity in an indicator after depreciating it at 10% per year. If an employee’s personal tools are stolen due to a break and enter, the Company will reimburse the employee for the tools stolen in accordance with the personnel file.
Personal Purchases. All staff of KETS customers, including public school staff and students, may purchase from this contract for their personal use. This specifically includes certified teachers as mandated by KRS 156.690. On-site warranty service for personal purchases from this contract will take place at the staff member’s school or district office.
