Piggyback Clause Clause Samples

A Piggyback Clause allows one party to join or benefit from the rights or actions of another party under a contract, typically in the context of sales or transfers. For example, if a major shareholder decides to sell their shares, a piggyback clause may permit minority shareholders to sell their shares on the same terms. This clause ensures that minority stakeholders are not left behind or disadvantaged in significant transactions, promoting fairness and equal opportunity in contractual dealings.
