Plan   for   Initial    Assessment Sample Clauses

Plan   for   Initial    Assessment. During our Initial Assessment, the CSG IV&V team takes a broad view of the existing project, project deliverables, and project documentation. We have experience starting IV&V services at all phases of a project, including during the planning phase, as well as after the solution vendor has begun. We assess the foundational processes, documents, and procedures that will support the project to assure the project management processes and tools establish, enhance, and promote: ⮚ Communication and deliverable management. ⮚ Effective risk, issue, and decision management. ⮚ End-to-end requirements traceability from source to test results and operational verification. ⮚ Transparency and visibility for governance and oversight. ⮚ Comply with regulatory performance, scheduling, and budgetary requirements. ⮚ Accelerated team training, with built-in desk-level procedures and training guides. We focus the Initial Assessment on the sufficiency of the project scope and objectives and alignment to legislative intent, review of the project management plan and planned development of the project's schedule, resources, tasks, structures, processes, and procedures, the project’s organizational, governance, and communication processes, and the impact of any procurement requirements and deadlines. This allows us to identify any process gaps or risks, as well as opportunities for improvement. To support our Initial Assessment, we also use TeamCSG℠ Risk Assessment Model to support the identification of risks, best practices, deficiencies, and issues related to activities and plans developed during the beginning project phases. The following bullets provide examples for how we assess these areas: ⮚ Project Scope and Objectives: The CSG IV&V team will verify that the project and its objectives are well-defined, documented, reasonable, and measurable, as well if the scope aligns with legislative intent and the impact on Customer processes and services. We assess if the Project Charter explains the specific business needs that support executing and completing the project and how the project clearly ties to the organization’s strategic goals. We verify that it includes a high-level timeline of the key project phases, a list of stakeholders and their related roles and responsibilities, and a high-level summary of the scope of work.
