POLLING PROCEDURE. 6.20 Presence at the polling station The following is substituted for the third paragraph of section 214 of the Act : “In addition, only the deputy returning officer, the poll clerk and the representatives assigned to the polling station, together with the returning officer, the election clerk, the assistant to the returning officer, the senior deputy returning officer and the assistant to the senior deputy returning officer may be present at the station. The officer in charge of information and order may be present, at the request of the deputy returning officer for as long as may be required. The poll runner may be present for the time required to perform his duties. Any other person assisting an elector under section 226 may be present for the time required to enable the elector to exercise his right to vote.”.
