Common use of Premium Work Clause in Contracts

Premium Work. Work performed by employees on any of the following days or between the hours specified below shall be considered as premium work and paid for according to the premium rates set forth herein. 8.4.1 (Clerks only) The employee in charge of the store while the store is open for business during the absence of the manager for a period over three hours in a day shall be compensated in the amount of fifty cents (50¢) per hour additional while in charge. This is in addition to any compensation including any overtime and/or premium applicable. 8.4.2 Employees required to work after 6:00 p.m. on either New Year's Eve or Christmas Eve shall be entitled to time and one-half (1-1/2) for all hours after 6:00 p.m. on such days. 8.4.3 (Clerks only) 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. - The employee's regular rate of pay plus 20¢ per hour.
