Professional Certification Program. 37 38 The Professional Certification program provides teachers with two years’ experience a low 39 cost, local route to professional certification. The District pro-cert coordinator serves as a 40 liaison to Pacific Lutheran University. Required classes are provided by District nationally 41 board certified staff. 42 43 5. Coaching 44 45 Budget permitting, the District will create a structure to support embedded individual and 46 group staff development through coaching. The coaches will provide personalized and group 47 support development, working side-by-side with individuals and groups to increase 48 instructional efficacy and improve student learning. Their role is to provide support in order 1 to enhance the development of the instructional skills and strategies of their colleagues. The 2 coaches will not be involved in the supervision and evaluation of any teachers. 3 4 6. School Level Professional Development 5 6 Each school’s leadership team will create a structure for support, based on teacher needs and 7 the school’s learning improvement plan. Teams may choose to use District coaches and other 8 District resources to support their professional development plans. Additional resources are 9 allocated to specifically support professional development at each building, including job 10 embedded professional learning communities. 11 12 7. Districts Training 13 14 Training will be to support the implementation of curriculum adoptions and the improvement 15 of instructional practices 16 17 The District shall, subject to two (2) levy collections during the school year, include funds for 18 staff development in the annual budget.   • Professional Certification The Superintendent shall at all times during the term of this Contract, and any renewal or extension thereof, hold and maintain a valid certificate required of a superintendent by the State of Texas and issued by the State Board for Educator Certification or the Texas Education Agency and any other certificates required by law.

  • Medical Certification (1) The University may require an employee to provide medical certification from a health care provider for FMLA leave without pay when taken for the serious health condition of the employee or the employee's family member. (2) Medical certification may be required to affirm the employee's ability to return to work and perform one or more of the essential functions of the job within the meaning of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), after being absent on FMLA leave.

  • Institutional Certification Certification by the Submitting Institution that delineates, among other items, the appropriate research uses of the data and the uses that are specifically excluded by the relevant informed consent documents. Further information may be found here.

  • Drug-Free Workplace Certification As required by Executive Order No. 90-5 dated April 12, 1990, issued by the Governor of Indiana, the Company hereby covenants and agrees to make a good faith effort to provide and maintain a drug-free workplace at the Project Location. The Company will give written notice to the IEDC within ten (10) days after receiving actual notice that the Company, or an employee of the Company in the State of Indiana, has been convicted of a criminal drug violation occurring in the workplace. False certification or violation of this certification may result in sanctions including, but not limited to, suspension of payments under the Agreement, termination of the Agreement and/or debarment of contracting opportunities with the State for up to three (3) years. In addition to the provisions of the above paragraph, if the total amount set forth in the Agreement is in excess of $25,000.00, the Company agrees that it will provide a drug-free workplace by: A. Publishing and providing to all of its employees a statement notifying them that the unlawful manufacture, distribution, dispensing, possession or use of a controlled substance is prohibited in the Company’s workplace, and specifying the actions that will be taken against employees for violations of such prohibition;
