Professional Development Plans. Each employee has the option to develop a five (5) year professional development plan in consultation with the College, and approved by the supervisor. The plan shall be on file with the supervisor and reviewed annually with the employee. The human resources department shall maintain a file of all such plans and share summarized information with the staff development committee.
Professional Development Plans. 1. Each unit employee shall write an annual Professional Development Plan. The purpose of this plan is to encourage the unit member to address areas of need and continue to enhance his/her own professional expertise and effectiveness in the classroom and instruction.
2. The PCS Individual Professional Development Plan will be used.
3. The plan for a given school year will be initially developed in the spring (March, April, May) of the previous year and submitted to the site administrator no later than 45 working days after the beginning of the school year. New employees will follow the PCS Individual Professional Development Plan upon employment.
4. Throughout the year, each employee will periodically discuss his/her professional growth areas, as well as other professional issues, with colleagues. This may occur in a variety of settings including team meetings, department meetings, grade level meetings, etc.
5. Should the employee not submit the plan on time (absent special circumstances previously discussed with and agreed to by the principal), disciplinary action will be taken.
Professional Development Plans a. Professional Growth and Improvement plans shall be developed after a needs assessment has been completed as follows:
i. Teachers whose students evidence above expected levels of student growth shall develop a plan for continuing professional growth and may choose their credentialed evaluators for the evaluation cycle as set forth in this Agreement.
ii. Teachers whose students evidence expected levels of student growth shall develop a professional growth plan collaboratively with the credentialed evaluators and shall have input on the selection of their credentialed evaluators for the evaluation cycle as set forth in this Agreement.
iii. Teachers whose students evidence below expected levels of student growth shall develop an improvement plan with their credentialed evaluators. The Administration shall assign the credentialed evaluator for the evaluation cycle and approve the improvement plan as set forth in this Agreement.
iv. In the event that a teacher and evaluator are unable to agree on the evaluator’s expectations for the improvement plan, the teacher may request a teacher mentor/coach or another mutually-agreed teacher of the District to facilitate further discussion between the teacher and the evaluator toward development of the improvement plan.
b. Professional Growth and Improvement plans for a school year shall be developed not later than May 15 of the prior school year, unless a teacher’s assignment is changed. Teachers new to the District will submit their professional growth plan no later than thirty (30) days after start date.
c. Professional Growth and Improvement plans shall describe the specific performance expectations, resources, and assistance to be provided.
d. The Board shall provide for professional development, including mentoring/coaching, and for the allocation of financial resources to accelerate and continue teacher growth and improvement; and to provide support to poorly performing teachers as set forth in this Agreement.
Professional Development Plans. (PDP). Each faculty member required to submit a professional development plan (PDP) shall, after consultation with his/her immediate supervisor, prepare and submit a PDP for the period to be covered by the evaluation.
Professional Development Plans. Individual Professional Development Plans Teachers who are rated at least Proficient on all the standards on the Teacher Summary Rating Form will develop an Individual Professional Development Plan designed to improve performance on specifically identified standards and elements.
Professional Development Plans. A. SGM-driven professional growth and improvement plans shall be developed as follows:
1. Teachers whose students evidence above expected levels of student growth shall develop a plan for continuing professional growth.
2. Teachers whose students evidence expected levels of student growth shall develop a professional growth plan collaboratively with the credentialed evaluators.
3. Teachers whose students evidence below expected levels of student growth shall develop an SGM-driven improvement plan with their credentialed evaluators.
4. In the event that a teacher and evaluator are unable to agree on the evaluator’s expectations for the improvement plan, the teacher may request a mutually agreed teacher/administrator team of the district to facilitate further discussion between the teacher and the evaluator toward development of the improvement plan.
B. SGM-driven professional growth and improvement plans for a school year shall be developed not later than 20 workdays after the start of the school year.
C. SGM-driven professional growth and improvement plans shall:
1. describe the specific performance expectations, resources, and assistance to be provided.
2. provide for the allocation of financial resources to accelerate and continue teacher growth and improvement; and to provide support to poorly performing teachers as set forth in this agreement.
3. set forth a timeline for completion by the end of the school year.
4. have professional indicators documented as unsatisfactory through the formal evaluation process.

D. The board shall provide for professional development, and for the allocation of financial resources to accelerate and continue teacher growth and improvement; and to provide support to poorly performing teachers as set forth in this agreement.
E. For the 2014-2015 school year, all teachers will develop a professional growth plan beginning with the 2015-2016 school, the SGM from the previous year will determine which plan teachers shall develop.
Professional Development Plans. Within 30 school days after the summative evaluation of a tenured teacher has been reduced to writing resulting in a rating of “Needs Improvement,” a professional development plan designed to correct the areas identified as needing improvement will be developed by the evaluator, in consultation with the teacher rated as needing improvement.
1. The professional development plan period will customarily be in effect until the teacher’s next evaluation.
2. In the year following a tenured teacher’s rating of “Needs Improvement,” the evaluator shall conduct a final evaluation of the teacher with a rating given prior to seventy-five (75) days before the last day of school.
3. A teacher who fails to complete the professional development plan with an evaluation rating of “Proficient” or better shall be placed on a remediation plan.
Professional Development Plans. Individual staff professional development plans shall be developed by staff members annually in conjunction with the appropriate administrator.
