PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FUNDING. 1. The Board and the Association agree that all programs, services, and non credit courses which promote and xxxxxx the professional development of teachers shall be covered by this Article. 2. The Board shall establish funds for the purpose of promoting professional development of the teaching staff in the school district. a. The Board shall make an annual contribution equal to PA(M) Maximum to the Professional Development Fund. The Association shall make an annual contribution of $8,000 to this fund. b. The School Effectiveness Fund shall be funded by the Board at 75% of PA(M) Maximum.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FUNDING. 1. Effective July 1, 2024, the employer shall provide professional development funding not less than one fifth of one percent (0.20%) of the Category 6 maximum step, multiplied by the total teacher FTE in the District, as of September 30 of the previous year. 2. This article replaces only local provisions regarding professional development funding that do not equal or exceed the minimum funding required in Article F.1.1. 3. Upon ratification in each subsequent round of bargaining, where Article F.1.1 does not already apply, then Article F.1.2 will be implemented as part of the melding process.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FUNDING. 1. The Board shall pay to the ATU 0.5% of annual teachers’ payroll calculated as of September 30 each year, to be distributed not later than October 20 of each year, in support of professional development activities for its members. 2. The ATU shall provide the Board an annual report of professional development activities and expenditures by October 31 of each year giving an audited accounting of disbursements from the fund. 3. Funds will be allocated in the following areas: - School Based - Local Specialist Associations - District-Wide Day - Administrative Costs 4. The allocation and administration of the fund will be determined by the ATU’s Professional Development Committee, in consultation with the Board.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FUNDING. An annual allocation of sixty thousand dollars ($60,000.00) shall be provided for the purpose of funding activities such as attending workshops, seminars, and schools or visiting industries or official or private institutions or conferences designed primarily to benefit the college. All active faculty are encouraged to apply for professional development funding.

Effective July 1, 1993, the total Board amount to be placed in the fund shall be $155.00 per year per F.T.E. teacher, calculated at September 30. 3. The Board shall provide TTOCs at a rate of one (1) TTOC day per FTE teacher. 4. The Professional Development Fund, as established by this Article, shall be administered by the Mission Teachers' Union. The Union shall be responsible for: a. administering and distributing Professional Development funds, and b. ensuring that Professional Development opportunities are distributed equitably. 5. Teachers Teaching on Call shall have access to the Joint Professional Development Fund through direct application to the Mission Teachers' Union.
