Professional Leave/Special Grants. The Board authorizes the Superintendent/designee to award special grants to qualified school- based and county-based employees who are assigned to the school-based administrators salary schedule, the administrative, supervisory professional and technical salary schedule and the executive salary schedule. The purpose of the grants is to enhance the ability of the affected employee(s) to carry out their responsibilities in a manner that will improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and quality of the Broward County Public Schools.
