Professional Meetings Attendance. The Assistant Principal is expected to attend appropriate professional meetings at the local and state levels, and, subject to prior Superintendent approval, at the national level. All reasonable expenses incurred shall be paid by the Board.
Professional Meetings Attendance. The Superintendent may attend appropriate professional meetings at the local and state levels and, subject to prior Board approval, at the national level. Meetings which require Superintendent’s absence from the District of three (3) or more days shall require prior Board approval. All reasonable expenses incurred shall be paid by the Board.

Professional Meetings Attendance. Request for permission to attend professional meetings shall be approved or denied by the superintendent after recommendation by the supervisor. Requests involving funds can be approved only by the Board and must have prior approval. Such requests are considered separately on the merits of each case.

With prior approval from the Board President for meetings or conferences outside the Chicago metro area, the Superintendent may attend such professional events and the Board shall reimburse the Superintendent for actual and necessary expenses incurred by him in attending such meetings and conferences per Board policy.

The Superintendent may attend appropriate professional meetings of the Superintendent’s choice at the local and state levels, the expenses of said attendance to be incurred by the District. The Superintendent may attend one conference/convention at the national level per year, the expenses of said attendance to be incurred by the District. The Board expects the Superintendent to continue his professional development and expects him to participate in relevant learning experiences. The Superintendent shall file an itemized expense statement with the clerk.
