PROGRESS OF 2009 ACTIVITIES. European and Mediterranean Workshop on Climate change impact on water-related and marine risks (Murcia, Spain, 26-27 October 2009) The Executive Secretariat gave an overview of the content of the workshop to be held in Murcia and organised jointly with the Spanish Authorities. He explained that it is crucial that the Agreement deals with climate change issues in risk management and pleaded for the lobbying of Permanent Correspondents at national level to have DRR included in the future adaptation agenda. The different presentations and the final conclusions of the workshop will soon be posted on the Agreement’s web site. • Activities of the Working Groups Working group on awareness and education to risk at school level (BE-SAFE-NET) The Executive Secretariat informed on the advancement of the BE-SAFE-NET website. At its last meeting in Paphos (Cyprus) in April 2009, the group examined the technical aspects of the functioning of the site and the coordination of the material while the next meeting scheduled in November 2009 will be devoted to finalising the material on hazards to enable the web site to become operational in 2010, as the Cypriot delegate and coordinator of the BE-SAFE-NET website, Xx. Xxxxxxx Xxxxxxxxx, confirmed. The Secretariat added that the working group intends to cover topics beyond hazards to enrich the site and then the different Civil Protection contributions would be highly welcomed. Working group on the role of local and regional authorities in major hazard management The Secretariat explained that the results achieved so far by the group have highlighted the importance of the role of local and regional authorities in an overall disaster risk reduction strategy. He thanked Cyprus and Croatia for their recent contribution and called upon all those countries who had not yet replied to do so. The delegate from Monaco, Xx. Xxxx Xxxx, confirmed his country’s support for the work carried out and that after consultation with the various bodies, feedback will be given as soon as possible. The Belgian delegate and coordinator of this group reminded that the objective is to regularly update each study on the future ISPU website and thus urged the countries to keep her informed of any national changes.   • Development Activities The Development activities referred to in item “b” of paragraph 3.1 include: studies and projects of implementation of the Production facilities; drilling and completion of the Producing and injection xxxxx; and installation of equipment and vessels for extraction, collection, Treatment, storage, and transfer of Oil and Gas. The installation referred to in item “c” includes, but is not limited to, offshore platforms, pipelines, Oil and Gas Treatment plants, equipment and facilities for measurement of the inspected Production, wellhead equipment, production pipes, flow lines, tanks, and other facilities exclusively intended for extraction, as well as oil and gas pipelines for Production Outflow and their respective compressor and pumping stations.

  • PROGRESS OF THE WORK Notwithstanding any other provision of the Contract Documents, if Contractor fails or refuses, for any reason and at any time, to furnish adequate materials, labor, equipment, tools and/or services to maintain the progress of the Work, District may, in its sole discretion, after seventy-two (72) hours’ advance written notice of same from District to Contractor, direct, instruct, and authorize a separate contractor selected by District to furnish such materials, labor, equipment, tools and/or services necessary to maintain progress of the Work. District may in its discretion deduct the amount of any and all costs, expenses, and/or other charges incurred thereby from the Contract Price then or thereafter due Contractor.
