Promotional Salary Adjustments. Each faculty member who is promoted to a higher rank shall receive an adjustment in salary rate of two thousand two hundred fifty dollars ($2,250), five thousand dollars ($5,000), and eight thousand five hundred dollars ($8,500) for promotion to Group I, II, or III, respectively, effective the date of promotion. Each member of the academic staff who is promoted to a higher grade shall receive an adjustment in salary rate of five percent (5%) or to the minimum of the new salary grade, whichever is higher.

For all promotions in rank for teaching faculty (which shall include librarians) members shall receive the minimum salary of the new rank or the following salary adjustments, whichever is greater: Salary Schedule Effective From To 9/1/97 Instructor Assistant Professor $1,000 Assistant Professor Associate Professor $1,400 Associate Professor Professor $2,000 The salary adjustments shall be made upon promotion. 2. Notice of Promotion to be effective at the beginning of the academic year shall be made by the preceding July 1st. 3.
