Longevity Increment. All unit members who have completed the required years of District service, as defined below, shall be eligible to receive a longevity increment. 9.1 The longevity increment shall become effective on the first day of the second Special School month following completion of the qualifying number of years of service. 9.2 A ”year of service” for the purpose of the longevity increment shall be defined as paid service in regular status for 130 days or more within the fiscal year, including time served in probationary or permanent certificated service; however, total assignment hours annually shall not exceed 2080 hours for years of service credit. 9.3 The longevity increment shall be part of the employee's basic wage for the purpose of computing overtime but shall not affect salary allocation upon promotion or reclassification to a higher class. Employees paid less than eight (8) hours per day shall receive a proportionate amount of the applicable increment. 9.4 The longevity increment schedule for years of qualifying District service shall be: $25 per pay period (equivalent to $.15625 per hour) after 10 years $30 per pay period (equivalent to $.18750 per hour) after 15 years $35 per pay period (equivalent to $.21875 per hour) after 20 years $40 per pay period (equivalent to $.25000 per hour) after 25 years $45 per pay period (equivalent to $.28125 per hour) after 30 years

Longevity Increment. 11.4.1 A regular employee who has satisfactorily served the District for ten (10) full years will receive a longevity increment of four percent (4%). An additional longevity increment of four percent (4%) after fifteen (15) years of service will also be provided. A third longevity increment of two percent (2%) will be paid to members of the bargaining unit after twenty (20) full years of service with the District A fourth longevity increment of two percent (2%) will be paid to members of the bargaining unit after twenty-five (25) full years of service with the District.

(3) All unit members who have completed twenty (20) or more years of satisfactory service as a paraprofessional shall receive an additional longevity increment of 30 cents per hour to be added to their regular hourly rate. (4) All unit members who have completed twenty-five (25) or more years of satisfactory service as a paraprofessional shall receive an additional longevity increment of 30 cents per hour to be added to their regular hourly rate. (5) All unit members who have completed thirty (30) or more years of satisfactory service as a paraprofessional shall receive an additional longevity increment of 35 cents per hour to be added to their regular hourly rate.
Longevity Increment. (i) Employees in titles for which the Respective Union is a Local of DC37, S.E.I.U., Local 300, or I.A.T.S.E., Local 306 with 15 years or more of "City" service in pay status who are not in a title already eligible for a longevity differential or service increment established by the Salary Review Panel or Equity Panel or Xxxxxxxxx title Pay Plan shall receive a longevity increment as indicated below. Only service in pay status shall be used to calculate the 15 years of service, except that for other than full time per annum employees only a continuous year of service in pay status shall be used to calculate the 15 years of service. A continuous year of service shall be a full year of service without a break of more than 31 days. Where the regular and customary work year for a title is less than a twelve month year, such as a school year, such regular and customary year shall be credited as a continuous year of service counting towards the 15 years of service. If the normal work year for an employee is less than the regular and customary work year for the employee's title, it shall be counted as a continuous year of service if the employee has customarily worked that length of work year and the College Appointing Authority verifies that information. College Assistants are eligible for the Longevity Increment if they were employed in that title for 500 or more hours in each of 15 contract years (July 1 to June 30). If a College Assistant worked fewer than 500 hours in a contract year due to the fiscal problems of 1975 - 1977, but worked 400 or more hours in such year it can be credited as a 500 hour year. Longevity Increment. After completion of thirteen (13) years of satisfactory service, the longevity increment shall be 5% based on the employee’s current salary step. After completion of twenty (20) years of satisfactory service, the longevity increment shall be 10.5% based on the employee’s current salary step. After completion of twenty-five (25) years of satisfactory service, the longevity increment shall be 16.5% based on the employee’s current salary step.

Longevity Increment. A Longevity Increment shall be added for all full-time (30 hours per week) unit members having completed 19 years of service in either the State Teachers Retirement System, the School Employees Retirement System, or the Public Employees Retirement System. The following guidelines shall apply: 18.8.1 Service must be verified by the employee from official records of STRS, SERS, or PERS. 18.8.2 Credit will be granted for all service which has the same value as Ohio teaching and/or the same value for credit under SERS or PERS. 18.8.3 All service credit and/or military credit must be purchased and/or certified from official records on forms provided by STRS, SERS, or PERS in order for it to be counted toward the longevity increment. (Section 3317.14 of the Ohio Revised Code.) 18.8.4 The longevity increment is added to the total salary only after all calculations have been made. 18.8.5 Only full years of service credit will be counted. 18.8.6 It is the responsibility of the unit member to report all such credit on or before February 1 prior to the year of eligibility. When newly hired eligible bargaining unit members who have at least nineteen (19) years of service as described in Article 18.8 report such credit within sixty (60) days from their initial Board hire date, the longevity increment will be added retroactively during the initial year of employment. Otherwise, such newly hired eligible bargaining unit members may report such credit on or before February 1 prior to the year of eligibility in accordance with Article 18.8. 18.8.7 There will be no granting of credit retroactively.

The Teachers/Professionals Increment (TPI) applies after five (5) years at step 10 or after fourteen (14) years of teaching with the School District of Pittsburgh, whichever first occurs. 2. The TPI shall be as follows: $2,000/year [$200/month over ten (10) months], effective November 2003.
