Promotions to Lieutenant. Promotions to the rank of lieutenant shall occur from a competitive promotional examination open to members of the police department who have attained at least three (3) years as a sergeant for the City of Reynoldsburg as of the date of the oral assessment and an Associate’s Degree or two years of college education from a community college, college or university that would enable the candidate to be admitted to an under-graduate school as a third year student at an accredited college or university.
