Common use of Promotions, Transfers and Demotions Clause in Contracts

Promotions, Transfers and Demotions. (a) In making promotions, transfers and demotions, the skills, knowledge and ability of the employee concerned shall be the primary consideration, and where such qualifications are equal, seniority shall be the determining factor. Pursuant to Clause 11.2(h)(3), where internal and external applicants are considered equally qualified in terms of their skill, knowledge and ability, preference will go to the internal applicant.
