Common use of Provincial Time Off for Union Business Clause in Contracts

Provincial Time Off for Union Business. Where an employee in the bargaining unit is elected or appointed as an Executive Board Member, Executive Officer, member of the Medical Division Executive/Hospital Health Care Support Division Executive or as a Membership Development Trainee, such individual shall be granted leave of absence for the time required to exercise the duties of such appointment where the Employer is provided with no less than fourteen (14) calendar days notice. Such positions shall be limited to two (2) members from the Employer with no more than one individual from within a section/division within a Department.
