Safety Equipment Should the employment duties of an employee in the bargaining unit require use of any equipment or gear to insure the safety of the employee or others, the District agrees to furnish such equipment or gear.
Rectification of Safety Hazard Where, because of the existence of a safety hazard, a site has been stopped for a defined period of time and Employees sent off site by agreement between Site Managers and any combination of Union Official/s, Health and Safety Committee, those people who remain on site to do rectification work will be paid at the rate of double time for all such work.
Electrical Equipment Residents must use only CSA, UL-approved or Canadian-certified electrical equipment; the rated wattage of light fixtures must never be exceeded; and only replacement bulbs supplied by Waterloo maintenance staff may be used. Do not leave any unattended electrical equipment turned on (i.e. hair straighteners, lights etc.)
Selection of Subcontractors, Procurement of Materials and Leasing of Equipment The contractor shall not discriminate on the grounds of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age or disability in the selection and retention of subcontractors, including procurement of materials and leases of equipment. The contractor shall take all necessary and reasonable steps to ensure nondiscrimination in the administration of this contract.
a. The contractor shall notify all potential subcontractors and suppliers and lessors of their EEO obligations under this contract.
b. The contractor will use good faith efforts to ensure subcontractor compliance with their EEO obligations.
Use of School Equipment The Association shall have the right to use school facilities and equipment for official Association business, including typewriters, duplicating equipment, computers and all types of audiovisual equipment at reasonable times and when such equipment is not otherwise in use, and shall provide advance notice of such use to the Superintendent of Schools. The Association shall pay for the cost of all materials and supplies.
Equipment Use Lessee agrees that the Equipment will be operated by competent, qualified personnel in connection with Lessee's business for the purpose for which the Equipment was designed and in accordance with applicable operating instructions, laws, and government regulations, and that Lessee shall use all reasonable precautions to prevent loss or damage to the Equipment from fire and other hazards. Lessee shall procure and maintain in effect all orders, licenses, certificates, permits, approvals, and consents required by federal, state, or local laws or by any governmental body, agency, or authority in connection with the delivery, installation, use, and operation of the Equipment.
Electrical appliance safety The Hirer shall ensure that any electrical appliances brought by them to the premises and used there shall be safe, in good working order, and used in a safe manner in accordance with the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989. Where a residual circuit breaker is provided the hirer must make use of it in the interests of public safety.
Personal Safety a. I will not post personal contact information about myself or other people. Personal contact information includes names, personal physical addresses, email addresses, work addresses, school addresses, and telephone numbers b. I will not agree to meet with someone I have communicated with online without my parents’/guardians’ approval and participation.
c. I will promptly disclose to my teacher or other school employees any message I receive that is inappropriate or makes me feel uncomfortable.
Personal Protective Equipment 64.1 While not being part of any issue of work clothing/equipment supplied (see clause 26), the Employer shall be required to provide personal protective equipment (SAA approved) for use, when necessary for the Employee to perform their required duties including:
(a) ear/hearing protection;
(b) gloves; and
(c) skin protective cream/sun screen (30+/50+ rating).
64.2 In addition, one pair of UV-rated safety glasses or UV-rated clip-ons suitable to overlay prescription spectacles, shall be made available for Employees who are required to work on reflective surfaces such as:
(a) metal decking;
(b) large concrete slabs exposed to sunlight;
(c) roofing; and
(d) curtain xxxxxxx.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE Each employee responding to or engaged in fire suppression activities will use the appropriate safety clothing and equipment. Each department is responsible for seeing that CAL/OSHA standards for safety clothing and equipment are provided and used for wildland firefighting. Wildland fire suppression safety clothing and equipment includes: Safety helmet that meets the minimum standards required by California Code of Regulations (CCR), Title 8, Section 3410. Goggles, protection that meets the minimum requirements for design, construction and use as required by CCR, Title 8, Sections 3382 and 3404. Ear protection to comply with CCR, Title 8, Sections 3405 and 3410(c). Nomex hood, shroud, or equivalent face and neck protection. Nomex shirt Nomex pants Gloves, CAL/OSHA approved for wildland firefighting.
