Provisional Service. Authoring Tools are a provisional service. As such, Coursera reserves the right, in its discretion, to modify, suspend, or deprecate any feature of Authoring Tools, Authored Content, or Course Builder Course Content in its entirety, for any or no reason, including but not limited to: discovered defects, inability to provide support, etc.
Provisional Service. 11.4.1 A provisional employee is an employee who is hired to fill a bargaining unit position without either having to take a qualifying Civil Service Examination or having taken the examination, is awaiting word as to whether he/she successfully passed it, such appointment being made because of the lack of sufficient names on any established Civil Service Eligibility List, no one on an established list desires the appointment, or no list exists. Such provisional employee has no legal right to the position he/she is filling and may be terminated at any time, except that he/she shall be eligible for all benefits of this Agreement that he/she is legally entitled to and the right to Union representation provided he is employed regularly for twenty (20) or more hours per week. Provisional employees shall be required to successfully complete the MPTC Academy in order to retain employment.
