Public Holidays on Day Off. a) When any of the named public holidays fall on an Employee’s scheduled day off, which is other than Saturday or Sunday, the Employee shall receive another day off with pay at a time mutually agreed upon between the Employee and the Employer, which shall be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this agreement. b) The preferred day to be taken off by the Employee will normally be the Employee’s next scheduled day of work, however c) If the next scheduled day of work is not taken off by the Employee, then another day of work may be mutually agreed to provided the day is taken within 30 calendar days of the public holiday. d) If a mutually agreed date within 30 calendar days of the public holiday is not established the next scheduled day of work thereafter will be taken as the day off.
