Public Participation + Community Involvement. Meaningful and substantial public involvement will be required in order to successfully deliver a Framework Plan to the City for its action and approval. WDW’s experience has been that the best plans – those that enjoy community support and generate results – have been produced collaboratively with community stakeholders. A trademark of a successful public participation effort is a claim of multiple authorship of the plan, and a sense of pride and ownership in the outcome of the process. This end result is the goal of the public participation effort described in this section. The public participation effort should not be seen as a task separate from the others described in the Work Plan. Rather, it is integral to the entire Work Plan, and most, if not all, of the products and deliverables described in this document need to be generated with an eye towards supporting the public outreach efforts. To that end, WDW will manage the public participation effort jointly with the City, and will take the lead in ensuring that the work products are produced and presented in a way that reflects community concerns and incorporates community input. The process is straightforward. First, WDW will identify stakeholders across multiple audiences whose input is critical in shaping the Framework Plan. After initial interviews with these stakeholders, a specific public involvement strategy will be drafted – essentially, a refinement of this Work Plan which incorporates community issues and concerns as part of the planning process. Upon acceptance of this strategy, WDW will execute the strategy and manage public communications and outreach efforts, with an eye towards gaining broad-based support for the Framework Plan.

  • Joint Participation The parties hereto participated jointly in the negotiation and preparation of this Release, and each party has had the opportunity to obtain the advice of legal counsel and to review and comment upon the Release. Accordingly, it is agreed that no rule of construction shall apply against any party or in favor of any party. This Release shall be construed as if the parties jointly prepared this Release, and any uncertainty or ambiguity shall not be interpreted against one party and in favor of the other.

  • Community Involvement The Grantee will facilitate and convene a Community Task Force as one means of developing collaboration among the Grantee, affected residents, and the broader community. The Grantee also will provide information to keep the Community Task Force fully apprised of the planning and implementation of revitalization efforts. The Community Task Force shall be comprised of affected public housing residents, local government officials, service providers, community groups, and others. The Community Task Force will provide advice, counsel and recommendations to the Grantee on all aspects of the HOPE VI development process, including shaping the goals and outcome of the Community and Supportive Services Plan. Community Task Force participants also will disseminate information throughout the community about the Grantee's revitalization efforts. The Grantee's responsibilities with regard to the Community Task Force include: (1) convening and participating in the Community Task Force and other advisory groups; (2) ensuring that regular meetings of the Community Task Force are held to apprise participants of the status of the development process and to solicit comments, opinions, advice, and recommendations on the planning and implementation of the Grantee's revitalization efforts; and (3) if requested by HUD, entering into a memorandum of understanding with the members of the Community Task Force setting forth the manner and frequency of task force meetings, the method (if any) for designating resident and community participants, and the issues that the task force will discuss and develop.

  • Program Participation By participating in the CRF Program, Grantee agrees to: a. Not increase any Eligible Household’s rent through January 2021; b. Waive all costs, fees and charges incurred by Eligible Households as a result of non- payment or partial payment of rent during the impacted months; c. Not consider non-payment or partial payment by Eligible Households during impacted months when considering renewal of an Eligible Household’s lease, or, share this information with other rental properties, credit bureaus and tenant screening companies; d. Not initiate new Eligible Household evictions for non-payment of rent and must suspend all pending evictions of Eligible Households for nonpayment of rent for the duration of the rental payment assistance; e. Not issue a notice to vacate to Eligible Households for nonpayment of rent until the end of the Eviction Relief Period; and f. Not require Eligible Households to vacate the unit until 30 days after such notice.

  • Joint Participation in Drafting Each party to this Agreement has participated in the negotiation and drafting of this Agreement and the other Transaction Documents. As such, the language used herein and therein shall be deemed to be the language chosen by the parties hereto to express their mutual intent, and no rule of strict construction will be applied against any party to this Agreement.

  • COOPERATIVE PURCHASING PROGRAM PARTICIPATION Arkansas' Purchasing Law provides that local public procurement units (counties, municipalities, school districts, certain nonprofit corporations, etc.) may participate in state purchasing contracts. The contractor therefore agrees to sell to Cooperative Purchasing Program participants at the option of the program participants. Unless otherwise stated, all standard and special terms and conditions listed within the contract must be equally applied to such participants.

  • Financial Participation Prohibited Under Section 2155.004, Texas Government Code (relating to financial participation in preparing solicitations), Contractor certifies that the individual or business entity named in this Contract and any related Solicitation Response is not ineligible to receive this Contract and acknowledges that this Contract may be terminated and payment withheld if this certification is inaccurate.

  • General Partner Participation The General Partner agrees that all business activities of the General Partner, including activities pertaining to the acquisition, development or ownership of any Asset shall be conducted through the Partnership or one or more Subsidiary Partnerships; provided, however, that the General Partner is allowed to make a direct acquisition, but if and only if, such acquisition is made in connection with the issuance of Additional Securities, which direct acquisition and issuance have been approved and determined to be in the best interests of the General Partner and the Partnership by a majority of the Independent Directors.

  • Equity Participation This Warrant is issued in connection with the Loan Agreement. It is intended that this Warrant constitute an equity participation under and pursuant to T.C.A. '47-24-101, et seq. and that equity participation be permitted under saxx xxxxxxes and not constitute interest on the Note. If under any circumstances whatsoever, fulfillment of any obligation of this Warrant, the Loan Agreement, or any other agreement or document executed in connection with the Loan Agreement, shall violate the lawful limit of any applicable usury statute or any other applicable law with regard to obligations of like character and amount, then the obligation to be fulfilled shall be reduced to such lawful limit, such that in no event shall there occur, under this Warrant, the Loan Agreement, or any other document or instrument executed in connection with the Loan Agreement, any violation of such lawful limit, but such obligation shall be fulfilled to the lawful limit. If any sum is collected in excess of the lawful limit, such excess shall be applied to reduce the principal amount of the Note.
