Public Works and Parks Employees. The hours of work for Public Works and Parks employees shall consist of forty (40) hours per week based on eight (8) hours per day, Monday to Friday. The workday shall commence at 7:30 a.m. and finish at 4:00 p.m. with one-half (1/2) hour off for lunch between 11:30 a.m. and 12:00 noon. The starting time may be altered one (1) hour before or one (1) hour after the time specified above, providing twenty-four (24) hours advance notice is given, and upon approval of the Union. If the Union disapproves, notification shall be given to management within eight (8) hours. Shift work when and if necessary, shall be on a voluntary basis. However, if a sufficient number of volunteers are not available, management shall reserve the right to delegate shifts across the following bulletined job classifications on a rotational basis: - Xxxxxxx - Leadhand - Truck Driver - Labourer The cleaning of pubic washrooms is a seven (7) day operation and the scheduled shifts will not be considered overtime. These shifts will be offered to the regular seasonal employee prior to the students. It is agreed to pay stat pay on any stat day that falls within the schedule.

  • Access to Employees Staff representatives of the Union shall be allowed to visit work areas of employees during working hours and confer on conditions of employment to the extent that such visitations do not disrupt the work activities of the area being visited. Prior to entering the work area, the representative shall receive permission from the appropriate department head or his/her designee stating the reason(s) for such visitations. Permission shall not be unreasonably denied.

  • Project Employees Project employees who have not held permanent civil service status within the job classification, will not volunteer for or be assigned overtime work outside of the project. Required overtime within a project may first be assigned to qualified employees within the project by seniority. The process for assigning the overtime will follow the procedures outlined in this Article.

  • DNR Employees An employee of the Department of Natural Resources may meet the basic eligibility requirement for participation in the Group Insurance Program based on a combination of seasonal and temporary project employment. Eligibility commences after completion of three (3) years of continuous service in which the basic eligibility requirements are met; continues until the employee completes a year in which the basic eligibility requirements are not met; and commences again after the employee meets or is anticipated to meet the basic eligibility requirements in one (1) year.

  • Employee Facilities Employee Facilities. Restrooms and attendant facilities shall be provided as required in the orders and regulations of the State of Washington Department of Labor and Industries. A good faith effort will be made by the Employer to provide facilities for employees’ personal belongings.

  • DEPENDENT PERSONAL SERVICES 1. Subject to the provisions of Articles 16, 18 and 19, salaries, wages and other similar remuneration derived by a resident of a Contracting State in respect of an employment shall be taxable only in that State unless the employment is exercised in the other Contracting State. If the employment is so exercised, such remuneration as is derived therefrom may be taxed in that other State.

  • Excluded Employees Employees excluded from the bargaining unit who work for an Employer signatory to this Agreement may participate in any of the foregoing benefits under rules and regulations established by the Trustees. The trustees shall determine the contributions required for such benefits.
