Purpose of Evaluation. The purpose of administrative, peer, and student evaluation of faculty shall be to assess teaching effectiveness, to encourage professional growth, and to make informed decisions regarding retention, tenure, promotion, and salary advancement whenever appropriate. Representatives from the District, AFT, and Faculty Senate will collaboratively review and modify the current faculty instrument, student instrument, and process to ensure adequate and appropriate feedback to faculty.
