Purpose of the Card. 2.1 The Card, whether plastic or virtual, reloadable or single-use, is a prepaid card featuring immediate debit of preloaded funds and systematic authorisation. The Card allows Card Users to access available funds that have been previously loaded on the Card by the Contract Holder via the Corporate Account Platform. The Card is not a credit card and all use is limited to the amount pre-loaded on the Card and any other limits referred to in this Agreement. 2.2 The Card is issued by Us at the Contract Xxxxxx’s request and upon acceptance of said request to Us via the Corporate Account Platform. Plastic Cards will be sent directly to You or the Card Users (as directed by You) as per the address specified on the Card order request completed on the Corporate Account Platform. 2.3 The Card can be used worldwide wherever You see the Card Scheme symbol displayed online, and for plastic Cards also at merchants, (subject to local laws and regulations in the country of use), providing there are sufficient funds available on the Card for the Transaction, including any applicable fees (subject to local laws and regulations in the country of use). The Card may not be used for gambling, gaming or illegal purposes. Furthermore, certain types of transactions may be blocked. 2.4 The Card remains at all times Our property and must be returned to Us or destroyed upon Our request. Use of the Card is personal to You and the Card Users. You cannot assign Your rights under this Agreement, and the Card User is strictly prohibited from transferring or giving the Card to any third party or from allowing any third party to use the Card. The authorisation for You and/or Card Users to use the Card may be revoked at any time, in accordance with clause 10 below. 2.5 The Contract Holder shall be liable for all acts and omissions of Card Users purported to be carried out pursuant to the activities anticipated by this Agreement. The Contract Holder warrants, represents and undertakes that it shall ensure that all Card Users are made aware of the content of this Agreement and understand the obligations regarding the use of the Card. 2.6 There is no interest payable to You on the balance of the Card and the balance does not amount to a deposit with Us.

Purpose of the Card. The card enables its holder: i) To pay for the goods and services supplied by all merchants who display the Visa or MasterCard logo. ii) To withdraw bank notes: (a) In Mauritius from SBM ATM displaying the Visa or MasterCard sign in local currency. (b) In Mauritius from non-SBM ATM displaying the Visa or MasterCard sign in local currency. (c) Abroad from banks, Financial Institutions and ATMs displaying the Visa & MasterCard logo, in the currency of the country concerned. iii) To effect the following additional activities at SBM ATMs (a) Change PIN (b) Balance inquiry (indicative and subject to systems availability) (c) TopUp of pre-paid mobile phones iv) To effect payments over the Internet for the goods and services supplied by all merchants who displays the Visa or MasterCard logo. For such transactions, SBM reserves the right to decline the transaction in case the cardholder has not registered for this service with SBM. The cardholder accepts that electronic communications via the internet or SMS-based telecommunications media may not be secure and may be intercepted by unauthorised persons or delivered incorrectly. Any such communications shall be at your risk. Where a transaction is conducted through SBM’s eSecure system (a system approved by the bank to enable the secure use of the card over the internet) in accordance with all instructions and in compliance with all security requirements issued by the bank the cardholder will no longer be liable for the risk of interception by unauthorized persons or incorrect delivery. Use of any eSecure system by the cardholder is subject to the terms and conditions of the eSecure system. v) To make mail or telephone orders or remote (internet, email) order for goods and services. By doing so the cardholder is authorizing the merchant to debit the purchase amount from his/her card account. The cardholder must pay the amount of the transaction although he /she will not necessarily have signed a sales voucher and the card was not present at the time of the transaction. SBM reserves the right to amend, delete and add the above mentioned features. Such changes will be published on SBM website at xxx.xxxxxxxx.xx vi) To pay for goods and services supplied by merchants, by tapping or waving the Card at a contactless POS terminal (“ContactlessTransaction Processing”)

Plastic Cards will be sent directly to You (as directed by You) as per the delivery address specified on the Platform. 2.3 Cards can be used worldwide wherever You see the Card Scheme symbol displayed online, and for physical Cards also at Automatic Teller Machines (“ATMs”), if permitted and enabled, and merchants, including shops and restaurants who accept the Card Scheme (subject to local laws and regulations in the country of use), providing Transactions are made within the Limit, including any applicable fees (subject to local laws and regulations in the country of use). 2.4 Cards remain at all times Our property and must be returned to Us or destroyed upon Our request. Use of a Card is personal to the respective Card User. You cannot assign Your rights under this Agreement, and the Card User is strictly prohibited from transferring or giving a Card to any third party or from allowing any third party to use a Card. 2.5 The Contract Holder shall be liable for all acts and omissions of Card Users purported to be carried out pursuant to the activities anticipated by this Agreement. The Contract Holder will inform Card Users about the use of Cards, applicable limitations of use and any requirements under these Terms such as any notification duties of the Contract Holder. The responsibility of the Contract Holder remains unaffected.
Purpose of the Card. 2.1. The Card enables the Cardholder, at any terminal displaying the sign corresponding to that appearing on his Card: 2.1.1. To effect transactions in the Republic of Mauritius and abroad. 2.1.2. To pay for goods and services supplied by merchants. 2.1.3. To pay for the goods and services supplied by merchants, by tapping or waving the Card at a contactless reader/terminal (“Contactless Transaction Processing”). 2.1.4. To withdraw banknotes in the Republic of Mauritius in the local currency, and abroad to withdraw banknotes, in the currency of the country concerned, from member banks, financial institutions and ATMs. 2.2. The Card shall not be used for any unlawful purpose, including the purchase of goods or services prohibited by the local law applicable in the Cardholder’s jurisdiction.
Purpose of the Card. 4.1. The Card is widely accepted and enables the Cardholder: 4.2. To pay for goods and services supplied by merchants displaying the sign corresponding to that appearing on his/her Card as described below: The MasterCard sign which consists of two interlocking circles, one red and one yellow, with the word "MasterCard" across, or 4.3. To withdraw banknotes, in Mauritius in local currency, and abroad in the currency of the country you are visiting, from member banks, financial institutions and automated teller machines (ATMs). All ATM transactions are subject to each member's ATM limits. The Bank reserves the right to amend, remove from or add to the features above. Any changes will be published on the Bank’s website.
Purpose of the Card. ‌ 3.1 The Card is a payment instrument featuring immediate authorisation of Transactions and debit of Available Balance (i.e. a reduction of the Available Balance as a result of a successful Transaction). 3.2 The Card can be used in the manner specified in the Card Program Description, provided there is sufficient Available Balance on the Card for the Transaction, including any applicable fees. 3.3 The Card remains at all times Our property and must be returned to Us or destroyed upon Our request. The use of the Card is personal to You. You cannot assign Your rights under these Terms, and You are strictly prohibited from allowing any third party to use the Card. The authorisation for You to use the Card may be revoked at any time, in accordance with clause 12 below. 3.4 There is no interest payable to You on the Available Balance of the Card and no funds loaded onto the Card amount to a deposit with Us.

  • Use of the Card 4.1. The Cardholder shall use the Card and operate the Account in a satisfactory manner. The decision as to whether the Card is being so used or the Account is being so operated rests with the Bank and shall be conclusive and binding on the Account Holder/s and on the Cardholder. 4.2. The Bank will bear no responsibility for the refusal of any merchant or establishment to accept the Card for any reason whatsoever. 4.3. Cash withdrawals that are recorded by the ATM, and payments effected by the Cardholder with his Card, shall be debited to his Bank Account. 4.4. Before using his Card, the Cardholder shall ensure that there are sufficient funds on his Account to cover the payment of the Card transactions. Furthermore, the Cardholder will not operate the Account in such a way to exceed the available balance of the Account. 4.5. The fraudulent, incorrect or illegal use of the Card by any person whomsoever shall not relieve the Cardholder of his liabilities to the Bank in respect thereof. 4.6. The Bank shall not be responsible to the Cardholder for any goods or services supplied to the Cardholder by merchants, or to any person to whom the said goods and services have been supplied. Disputes arising from the supply of such goods and services shall be settled directly with the merchants without the Bank being constituted party thereto. The Cardholder shall consequently not be relieved of his obligations to the Bank under the relevant Card transactions. 4.7. The Cardholder shall ensure the correctness of the amounts borne on, and contained in, the envelopes referred to in clause 1.3 of Part III above. The contents of the envelopes shall be checked and certified by two officers of the Bank. The amounts so certified shall be credited to the Account whose number is borne on the envelopes and shall be final and conclusive and not liable to be called in question by the Cardholder or the Account Holder. 4.8. Transactions for POS and ATM withdrawals are subject to the respective daily limits as determined by the Bank from time to time.
