Rate of Pay on Permanent Promotion or Reclassification Sample Clauses

Rate of Pay on Permanent Promotion or Reclassification. An employee permanently assigned, promoted or reclassified to a higher paying position, shall receive the next rate on the new classification scale which will provide an increase over the rate the employee was paid in the former classification. The date on which the employee was assigned, promoted or reclassified shall become the new anniversary date for the purposes of the wage grid. In the case of a lateral transfer (within the same classification), the employee’s rate of pay will not change and will continue according to the number of months they have been in the position.
