Rate of Pay on Recall from Layoff. When an employee is recalled from the layoff list to a bargaining unit position, the employee shall be paid at the same salary step at which such employee was being paid at the time of layoff. The employee’s previous salary eligibility date, adjusted by the amount of break in service greater than fifteen (15) days, shall be restored.

  • Rate of Pay on Promotion 44.3.1 When an employee is appointed by the Council to a higher classification level in the same group, he shall be paid at the nearest rate in the new classification level which gives the employee a salary increase not less than the minimum increment of the higher classification level to which he is being appointed by the Council.
