Reclassification of Trades and Labor Positions. 1. When an employee believes the work he/she is performing is not properly classified, he/she notifies his/her supervisor immediately in writing. The supervisor makes a decision within one week after notifying the appropriate Council representative. This decision may be appealed directly to the Senior Vice President of Labor Relations. The Senior Vice President of Labor Relations or his/her designee makes his/her decision within 20 days of receipt of the appeal.

  • Reclassification of Position An employee shall not have her salary reduced by reason of a change in the classification of her position that is caused other than by the employee herself.

AFSCME shall notify the University, in writing, within fifteen (15) days of receipt of the proposed changes, of any comments it has concerning the proposed changes or of its desire to discuss the proposed changes.
