– Reclassification Secretary and Paraeducator Employees. An Employee or group of Employees requesting reclassification will submit written request to meet with the BESA/SEIU Board by November 15. Following this meeting, said Employee(s) will submit written request by January 1 to the building principal, with copies to the Human Resource Director and BESA/SEIU President. A meeting will be scheduled during January with these individuals and the Employee(s) making the request to review the reclassification. When a group of Employees is involved, a representative committee may be assigned by the Human Resource Director and the BESA/SEIU President. A recommendation will be made by the committee and sent to the Superintendent within ten (10) working days from the date of the meeting. The Employee(s) will be notified in writing of the final decision. If a classification change is made, it will become effective July 1 of the next fiscal year. The reclassification will be non-grievable.

  • CLASSIFICATION OF EMPLOYEES Section 1. A full-time employee shall be deemed to be any employee regularly scheduled to work forty (40) hours per week. A regular employee is one whose employment is reasonably expected to continue for longer than fifteen (15) months.

  • Leave, President, O.N.A Upon application in writing by the Association on behalf of the nurse to the Hospital, a leave of absence shall be granted to such nurse elected to the office of President of the Ontario Nurses' Association for a period of up to three (3) consecutive two (2) year terms. Notwithstanding Article 10.04, there shall be no loss of service or seniority for a nurse during such leave of absence. During such leave of absence, the nurse's salary and applicable benefits shall be maintained by the Hospital and the Association agrees to reimburse the Hospital in the amount of the full cost of such salary and applicable benefits. It is understood, however, that during such leave the nurse shall be deemed to be an employee of the Ontario Nurses' Association. The nurse agrees to notify the Hospital of her or his intention to return to work at least two (2) weeks prior to the date of such return.
