Common use of Recognition of Union Stewards and Grievance Committee Clause in Contracts

Recognition of Union Stewards and Grievance Committee. In order to provide an orderly and speedy procedure for the settling of grievances, the Employer acknowledges the rights and duties of the Union Grievance Committee and the Union Stewards. The Xxxxxxx or Grievance Committee member shall assist any employee, which the Xxxxxxx represent, in preparing and presenting their grievance in accordance with the grievance procedure. The Employer agrees that the Grievance Committee member shall not be hindered, coerced, restrained or interfered with in any way in the performance of their duties while investigating disputes and presenting adjustments as provided in this Article.
