REDUCTION IN FORCE - PRELIMINARY. 1. An employee who receives a preliminary notice of RIF may have his/her name placed on the seniority list of any job title that is comparable in general duties and requirements and which is at the same or lower grade or one (1) that he/she has held on a permanent basis as established by their current seniority date (no break in continuity date). To do this the employee must submit one (1) request to the Talent Division within two (2) work days after initial notification of the pending RIF. The request is final. Otherwise, the employee's seniority will be determined only in the current job title.
