Regular Contact Teaching Experience. Where a teacher has taught, as a regular contract teacher, the full-time equivalent of five (5) months or more within one school year, this shall be credited as one (1) year experience for salary purposes. Where a teacher has taught, as a regular contract teacher, the full-time equivalent of fewer than five (5) months within one school year, that time will be accumulated from year to year on a full-time equivalent basis. When the accumulated teaching time equals the full-time equivalent of five (5) months, this time shall be credited as one (1) year experience for salary grid purposes.

Recognized credit for previous experience shall be applicable to qualifying employees commencing with the first working day following completion of said employee's probationary period.
