Regular Day Off. (i) All full-time (excluding the Group 1 listed in Letter of Understanding # 2) who desire two (2) consecutive days off will be given the two (2) consecutive days off every second (2nd) week. As well, once every five (5) weeks, those two (2) consecutive days off may be a Friday-Saturday, Saturday- Sunday or Sunday-Monday if the full-time employee desires a weekend off, as long as the Employer can maintain a sufficient workforce for the proper operation of the business. (ii) In scheduling such “weekend offs” where the employer is not able to schedule one (1) in five (5) due to maintaining a sufficient workforce for the proper operations of the business the employee would receive the weekend off prior (i.e., one (1) in four (4) or the weekend off following (i.e., one (1) in six (6). For clarity, where the Employee does not receive their one (1) in five (5), the Employer shall endeavour to the extent that is possible to schedule weekend off prior (i.e., one (1) in four (4). (b) Full-time employees shall be given a regular day off except where replacing for vacation or it is their weekend off, provided the employer can maintain a sufficient workforce for the proper operation of the business.
