This program differs from previous ones in that the materials developed will target instate/out of state private landowners and attendees at any event that supports noxious weed treatments. Door hangers will be specifically categorized by new invader species. If in an area of known infestations, door hangers can be left on the doorknobs of residents in the area. They can also be mailed out if needed. This educational tool will have important information about the species and most importantly the direct contact information of the local weed professional on who to reach out to if found or if more information is needed. The feather flags will be eye catching and will help draw people in at educational events like county fairs, conservations days, and really any event that takes place. The flags can be shared across the state by anyone needing to draw attention to the educational event being presented. The proposed banners can be used in communities that a particular new invader has been found. These banners can be left up in most locations for a set time. They can be placed in areas that will catch the eye each day and hopefully cause landowners to ask more questions with eventually learning how they can help reduce the spread of the said new invader noxious weed.
