Common use of Relief from Overtime Clause in Contracts

Relief from Overtime. (a) It is the policy of the Company to cooperate and grant the request of an employee who desires to be relieved from overtime for bona fide personal reasons. It is understood that at least one request will be granted in each center per day, and that the employee xxxxx- xx such relief will not be required to work more than eight (8) hours. (b) Any employee who desires to be relieved from overtime on a particular day or days (but in no event for more than one (1) week) shall submit a request in writing at least twenty-four hours in advance. This request will be processed by both the center manag- er and the shop xxxxxxx. Requests made during the months of November and December may be granted at the sole discretion of management.
