Common use of RELIEVING IN HIGHER AND LOWER-RATED POSITIONS Clause in Contracts

RELIEVING IN HIGHER AND LOWER-RATED POSITIONS. 22.01 In cases where an employee is required, during a scheduled shift, to relieve in a higher rated job, the employee shall receive the hourly rate of the higher rated job for any and all hours worked. If the employee is required to relieve in a higher rated position for one or more full shifts, they shall receive the higher rate for any and all hours worked. 22.02 In cases where an employee is required to transfer temporarily to a lower-rated job such employee shall incur no reduction in wages because of such transfer.
