Additionally, the Deputy Director of the Division may request an audit and refer the matter to the Attorney General’s Office or the appropriate district attorney’s office for criminal prosecution or the imposition of civil liability. (Civ. Code, §§ 1572-1573; Pen. Code, §§ 470, 489-490.) C-1. Accounting and Auditing Standards The Recipient shall maintain GAAP-compliant Project accounts, including GAAP requirements relating to the reporting of infrastructure assets.
