Common use of Replacement of Tools Clause in Contracts

Replacement of Tools. A. All personal tools owned by Iron Workers which are broken on the job shall be replaced by the Employer, providing that it can be acknowledged by the xxxxxxx that the breakage happened on the job. B. Employees employed on ornamental work shall furnish for their own use basic hand tools to enable them to effectively install such work. Tools broken on the job shall be replaced by the Employer. No employee shall be held responsible for the loss of tools or equipment in his charge. Employees abusing employers' tools may be dismissed and/or required to repair or replace same.
